Health CAS Rashid Aman has announced more stern measures for Eastleigh and Old town areas.
Aman stated that the new directives will help in the fight against the Coronavirus disease.
The CAS pointed out that the new orders will help achieve normalcy back in the affected areas.
These are the following measures:
- Hawking has been prohibited in the two areas
- Banning of all gatherings of whatever nature
- Supermarkets, malls and eateries to remain closed

Despite the new directives, the soft-spoken Aman articulated that restaurants needed to observe the set guidelines in order to be allowed to operate.
“All requirements must be met before restaurants can go back to business. The facility must be inspected by a health officer before business can resume,” expressed the Health CAS.

During the press briefing at Afya House, the government official confirmed an additional new 28 cases bringing the total tally in the country to 649.
He further mentioned the death of one person from Mombasa raising the number of people who have succumbed to the virus to 30.
Despite the sad news, Aman highlighted that 5 people had been discharged from hospital.
Aman who doubles up as a doctor articulated that the biggest challenge faced by the ministry was the community transmission.
