KPL: Four High Class Encounters Fans Will Miss Out On

With the Football Kenya Federation ending the league with 10 round of matches yet to be played due to the Corona epidemic, Kenyan football fans are set to miss out on some eye catching fixtures.

Below, are four of the matches.

Gor Mahia-Wazito FC

Prior to the Corona break, Wazito Fc was enjoying a revival and were unbeaten in their last five matches. At the start of the season, Wazito FC owner had proudly sent a warning to Gor Mahia reminding them that his team is out to claim their throne.

This did not go down well with the Gor Mahia fans as seen during the first leg where the Champions won by a solitary goal. The new rivalry would grown a notch higher in the second leg.

Bandari-Sofapaka

Two teams that never disappoint whenever they come up against each other. Sofapaka and Bandari have combined to a total of 15 goals in their last seven meetings.

With the two stuck in position nine and ten on the table, the second leg had all the hall marks of being yet another goal filled thriller.

Tusker-Gor Mahia

Tusker Fc – Kenyan Premier League

This fixture has the only two teams that have won the league in the past 10 seasons. Tusker were humbled 5-2 in the first leg but the Brewers held their own in the other fixtures and were in contention for the title despite being 8 points behind the table toppers.

A high stakes clash that rarely disappoints.

AFC Leopards-Kakamega Homeboyz

The Western derby has been dominated by Kakamega Homeboyz who have won five of the last seven meetings. Homeboyz were enjoying a dream season that had them second on the table behind Gor Mahia.

AFC Leopards on the other hand were doing well under Anthony Kimani leaving them just seven points behind Homeboyz. With home bragging rights at stake, this clash would have been a must watch!
