COVID-19 UPDATE: 25 More Confirmed Cases as Total Hit 490

Health Cabinet Administrative Secretary Mercy Mwangagngi has announced that 25 more Kenyans have tested positive for Coronavirus.

Speaking at Afya House in Nairobi on Monday during a briefing, the CAS said that the total number of positive cases in the country tally at 490.

The age disparity of the new cases ranges from 6 months to 60-year-old.

Of the 25 new confirmed cases, 10 are from Mombasa while 15 reside in Nairobi.

The Health CAS called on Kenyans to heed to government directives saying it is the only way the virus can be kept at bay.

The ministry also announced six more recoveries bringing the total number to 173.

Of the new cases, 13 are men and the remaining 12 females.

CAS Mwangangi announced that 1,012 individuals had been tested for the virus over the past 24 hours.

The 25 people who tested positive are all Kenyans.
