Photos of Congregants Kneeling  Before Prophet Owour ‘Like He’s a God’ Triggers Reactions

Kenyans have expressed mixed reactions after a photo of Prophet Owour’s followers kneeling before him, surfaced online. This act is not new for Owour’s faithful’s as they have in several crusades been spotted kneeling during the time of prayer which is a ‘tradition’ that most Christians subscribe to.

Apart from members of his church, top politicians like Babu Owino confessed to be his follower after a photo of him kneeling before the man of God went viral.

Kenyans have raised concern on whether kneeling before a fellow human in that manner is acceptable. According to some twitter users, this act portrays slavery and acts of being brainwashed.

Others were quick to defend the act suggesting that it would only be wrong if the involved were forced into doing it. They further argued that everyone has a choice to practice their faith as they wish.

This is not the first time that the ‘mighty prophet’ and his followers have been on the spot over their religious practices. In a related incident that happened years back, some Kenyans were shocked after the followers washed the roads with soap in preparation for the arrival of the man of God.
