Chelsea and Brazil winger Willian is close to joining Arsenal in the summer on a free transfer. His contract ends at the end of the season and Arsenal has already made contact with his representatives in a bid to secure a deal.
With Arsenal in their third season in the Europa League, their financial situation is getting worse which means that the club will have to make do with cheap deals for now and Willian fits that bill perfectly. He is experienced and has two league winners medals.
Also on the list of joining Arsenal this summer is Bournemouth winger Ryan Fraser who is also a free agent from June this year. Fraser was close to linking up with the Gunners last summer but the club signed Nicholas Pepe from Lille instead.
Should the two arrive, it would mean that Arsenal would need to sell some of their squad member to free up some space. Ainsley Maitland Niles has been strongly linked with a move away from the Emirates. The midfielder has been played as a right back but he is keen to play in the middle of the pitch which could see him depart.
Rob Holding is also a favorite to exit the club having barely featured since he injured his knee two years ago in a clash against Manchester United at Old Trafford.
With William Saliba expected to join from his loan spell at Saint Etienne, Arsenal will have too many center backs which could again result in yet another defender leaving. World Cup winning defender Skodran Mustafi was on his way out in January but has featured regularly under Mikel Arteta ever since the Spaniard was appointed as the manager.
