Kenyan socialite Vera Sidika on Monday 27th April chose to defy government’s directive by inviting her close friends for a barbeque party.

“My chef doing barbeque today.” she posted on her insta stories.

It was clear Vera was ready to have a ball and certainly not by herself. Eric Omondi, Barack Jacuzzi and a few of her friends were seen pulling at her parking and chilling with Vera at her backyard.

“Celebrating life” Vera was heard shouting as they popped to some moet bottles.

It was not clear how long the party lasted but from her posts, it was had to tell whether they maintained social distance as per the recommendations of the government.

Indeed, the COVID-19 virus has lasted longer than most of us anticipated and everyone is doing the most to pass time.

The Kenyan government had previously made certain rules and guidelines with regards to coronavirus pandemic and the new order changed how people were accustomed to doing things.

In a press briefing during Easter, CS Kagwe completely discouraged mbuzi parties before the curfew time or moving from one estate to the next.

Initially, the ban to have parties cancelled was pointed out as disregarding the social distancing directive issued by the Ministry of Health that is aimed at keeping the virus at bay.

Below are some photos of how the party went down:
