Three years ago, long serving Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger announced that he would be stepping down from his role as the Arsenal manager. The Frenchman ended his 22-year stay with the Gunners that began in 1996.

In his first full season at Highbury, Arsene wenger guided Arsenal to its first double since 1971. The team won the League ahead of Manchester United and beat Newcastle in the FA Cup final o complete a memorable first season under the man who would go on to become the most successful manager at the club.

Nine years since he came to Arsenal, Wenger was at the peak of his powers and so was the team that he had created.

He won the league in 2004 without losing a single game. The run would go on for 49 matches before it was ended at Old Trafford by Manchester United.

This remains one of the best achievements in the Premier League and World football at large as no other team in England has been able to break that record.

In 2006, Arsenal waved goodbye to their Old Highbury stadium and moved into the Emirates Stadium. The move was made possible by Arsene Wengers determination and dedication to the course.

Over the years following the move, Arsenal suffered financially as they repaid the loan money used to build the new stadium but remained competitive under the guidance of Arsene Wenger.
