Kenya Films and Classification Board (KFCB) CEO Dr. Ezekiel Mutua has hit out at the Ethic Entertainment group’s producer over their new raunchy music video ‘Soko’.
Dr. Mutua, who termed the song as ‘crap’, wondered how the producer of the song would try to normalize rape and prostitution in the name of Gengetone.
The moral cop went on to say that, the Soko music video is despicable immorality that should be condemned by all right-thinking people.
The video was released on Sunday, April 19, 2020, while the audio release of Soko had been out for at least two months with over 370,000 views on Youtube.
However, an official music video for the song Soko by Ethic was hidden on Youtube soon after Dr, Mutua contributed to an uproar online concerning some of its lyrics on Sunday, April 19.
According to Mutua, the Tarimbo singers are not artists but “demented circus thugs hiding behind the art to promote indecency,” adding that neither any self-respecting DJ should not play such.
Do these perverted producers have children? How does a sane adult try to normalize rape, prostitution or paedophilia in the name of gengetone hits? The video Soko by Ethic is despicable immorality that should be condemned by all right thinking people
