Ruto Banks on ‘Fake’ NEC Minutes to Stop Jubilee Changes, Ruth Matete Accused of Lying About Husband’s Death & Pastor Ng’ang’a Says he is Rich and Doesn’t Need “Sadaka

Good morning fellow Kenyans,
In the last few days, social media has been abuzz with the news that popular entertainer going by the stage name Mulamwah had called it quits.

As he bowed out of the comical industry, Mulamwah stamped his quitting with video footage of him setting ablaze his signature clothing as he sobbed uncontrollably.

His tears of anguish gave me a sombre mood as I perused through his final message to a section of Kenyans on social media whom I discovered later were behind his quitting.

The video footage and his caption captured a man who was terrorised psychologically behind repair.

In the words of Mulamwah, he had endured numerous trolls that he couldn’t take it anymore.

Memories of how his lover lost a pregnancy out of stress emanating from cyberbullying reminded him that comedy was a big mistake.

A section of social media users has remained ruthless and insensitive to the human ego. Many have suffered emotionally from trolls and body shaming.

Anyone working on his dream will never hate on someone else because one knows how hard it is to be successful.

Those who have succeeded hardly hate, they encourage. They believe that success is a step that grows each day and that anyone like Mulamwah, working on his dream to become the next Churchill or Eric Omondi, deserves the best support and encouragement.

We have to start empowering people rather than condemning one into complete oblivion and obliteration. Let us endeavour to give someone a positive vibe as we comb through social media.

That aside, here are our top stories today:
