A social media user has reacted to Starehe MP and singer Charles Njagua who is popularly known as Jaguar’s post that he will embark on making his constituency better after COVID-19 pandemic.
Taking to his Instagram, the legislator while addressing his constituents and fans posted a video of a road under construction and added a caption:
“After this whole pandemic of COVID-19 is over we will have to embark on rebuilding our economy which requires good road infrastructure.”
The Mp further added in the viral post that he was recarpeting the riverside roundabout which was leading to major traffic snarl-ups. “Re-carpeting of the road is currently ongoing. With God on our side, we shall overcome.” he wrote.
Jaguar’s statement comes a few weeks after his plea to China requesting them to write off Kenya’s debt and the money should be channelled towards other activities.
The MP was however criticized for his reasoning and was accused of looking for sympathy from residents of his constituency.
Known for being at loggerheads with netizens, Jaguar has previously found himself in trouble over his comments on foreigners working in informal markets in his constituency, particularly the Gikomba market.
Below were some reactions from his post:
Good job keep up! All the workers are without proper health safety e.g. Mask/gloves in this era covid.
