Kenya’s boy band Sauti Sol mourns the sudden death of celebrated disc jockey Virgil Karuranga popularly known as DJ Miller.
Taking to their Twitter account, the band mourned the Rwanda’s finest DJ, who succumbed to a stroke, on Sunday morning 5th of April at the age of 29.
According to his friend DJ Troxxy, he was admitted to King Faisal Hospital a few days ago claiming minor body changes.
Miller was Sauti Sol’s DJ during their album tour in Rwanda.
DJ Miller had established himself as one of the most famous and respected DJs in the country, spinning the discs at major music events and festivals for the past half-decade.
He was the co-founder of Dream Team DJs, established in 2013, alongside DJ Toxxyk, Karim and DJ Marnaud.
He emerged on the scene back in 2012 and was introduced to the game by veteran deejay Karim, who was also working with him on many gigs.
Deejay Miller was known by many partygoers for making them happy while on the decks playing hip hop music genre especially old school songs.
Before his untimely death, Miller was planning a first-ever Dogs concert in Kigali.
