Miguna Goes on Rant Daring DCI to Air Alleged Ruto’s Assassination Plot Video

Controversial lawyer Miguna Miguna on Sunday, March 8, revived the La Mada assassination plot of June 2019 that was linked to top government officials.

Taking to Twitter, the embattled lawyer made rants directed towards the Directorate of Criminal Investigations George Kinoti accusing him of covering up the 2019 assassination plot against Deputy President William Ruto.

Miguna dared Kinoti to air Itumbi’s alleged videotape and audiotape that captured deep state conspirators plotting how to assassinate the deputy president at the La Mada Hotel.

“When will @OleItumbi‘s videotape or audiotape that captured Karanja Kibicho, Matiang’i, Munya and other Deep State conspirators plotting how to assassinate @WilliamsRuto at the La Mada Hotel next to the NIS Headquarters be aired? Where is the @DCI_Kenya and Kinoti?” Reads Miguna’s tweet.

ICT CS Joe Mucheru, the then health CS Sicily Kariuki, the then Trade & Industrialization CS Peter Munya and Transport CS James Macharia were summoned by the DCI over plot.

Itumbi in July 2019, claimed he had an audio and a video prove that there was a plot to assassinate the DP.

“I have an audio and video recording of material that could show, subject to investigations, that a meeting could have happened at a place called La Mada at which discussions were held on possibility of assassination of an employer, particularly the Deputy President,” Itumbi said.

Miguna’s statement comes just hours after DP Ruto asserted that the DCI has been mobilized, for political reasons, to discredit and destroy his office with all manner of nonsense and to bring him down.

Ruto added that they can only eliminate him through killings since the system of Kenya cannot elect anybody.

“The DCI has been mobilized, for political reasons, to discredit & destroy my office with all manner NONSENSE and to bring me down. Those in this scheme are boasting that I will not be there soon. Since the system cannot elect anybody, they can only kill. But there is GOD in heaven,” DP Ruto wrote on Twitter.

Miguna had earlier defended troubled ex-Sports CS Rashid Echesa who has been implicated in the Ksh39 billion fake firearm scandal saying that Echesa committed no crime in taking his guests to Ruto’s office.

He further claimed that Uhuru linked Ruto’s office to the scandal as part of his efforts to politically fix the second in command.

“Echesa committed no crime. Having meetings with foreigners even in Despot Uhuru Kenyatta’s or Ruto’s offices are not crimes. If Echesa committed forgery, it has nothing to do with the place of meetings or whose office the meetings took place. Uhuru is desperate to fix Ruto,” reads  Miguna Miguna’s tweet.
