David Ndii: DCI Set Up Ruto With the Fake Arms Deal

Former Nasa Strategist David Ndii on Sunday made a sensational claim accusing the Directorate of Criminal Investigations of planting an arms scandal on Deputy President William Ruto.

According to Ndii, the deputy president is being targeted by the government to carry the blame of corruption scandals.

Ndii in a tweet claimed that the government tasked the office of the DCI set up DP Ruto by planting an arms scandal on Ruto the same way Andrew Muthemba was used to plant one on Charles Njonjo.

Economist David Ndii during a past interview

“I am stating categorically that DCI was tasked to plant an arms scandal on Ruto the same way Andrew Muthemba was used to plant one on Njonjo. After two years of bungled cases, weaponizing anti-corruption has failed. Time to escalate. Desperate times, desperate measures.” Reads Ndii’s tweet.

The Economist also claimed that the DCI was aware Echesa was going to Ruto’s Harambee Annex office and they were waiting for him.

He added that the whole thing was a DCI operation and the security officers at the DP’s office were cooperating with their DCI colleagues on orders from their superiors.

“DCI knew Echesa was going to Ruto’s office. They were waiting for him. It stands to reason the whole thing was a DCI operation and the Harambee Annex security officers were cooperating with their DCI colleagues on orders from their superiors.” He stated.

Ndii’s statement echoes that of the Deputy President who accused the DCI of being used for political reasons to discredit and destroy him.

Ruto claimed that the fake Sh40 billion arms deal and the murder of Sergent Kenei were elaborate schemes orchestrated to undermine and destroy his office and political career.
