Detectives from Directorate of Criminal Investigations have arrest a 25-year-old notorious drug trafficker.
The sleuths on Wednesday night arrested Peter Gatimu, a narcotics trafficking suspect at Chaka in Nyeri County.
The arrest followed a search on him where over 110 envelopes containing unestablished amount of suspected Cocaine or Heroine, Bhang seedlings, a packet of rizla and Ksh. 13,200 all in Ksh. 50 note denominations among other items were found.
“25-YEAR-Old Peter GATIMU, a suspect of Trafficking in Narcotics was last night arrested at Chaka in Nyeri by DCI_Kenya Detectives, following a search on him where over 110 Envelopes containing unestablished amount of suspected Cocaine or Heroine, Bhang seedlings, a packet of Rizla & Ksh. 13,200 all in Ksh. 50 note denominations among other items were found,” DCI said in a statement posted on their social media handles.
Gatimu is believed to have been peddling the same through the nights, hence his 2 am arrest at Chaka lanes.
He has been placed in lawful custody pending arraignment.
The exhibits have been taken to the government chemist for analysis.
