Leicester City Boost Man United’s Hope For a Top-Four Finish

Manchester United’s bid for a top-four finish seems to become a reality! The Red Devils are fifth on the log with 41 points, three away from fourth-placed Chelsea and six away from third-placed Leicester City.

United failed to reach the Champions League qualification target last season after finishing sixth, in a season that was marred by chaos and confusion at the Old Trafford- conflict between former coach Jose Mourinho and players, change of managers in the midst of the campaign.

But the Red Devils have shown some vitality this season especially after the January transfer when they signed Bruno Fernandes and Odion Ighalo.

Their chances for a top-four finish was boosted on Friday when Leicester blew away their match against Norwich City at Carrow Road.

A stunning lone goal from Jamal Lewis was enough to sink the Brendan Rodgers’ side and revive Norwich’s hope of vacating the relegation zone.

But this is good news to United who will need a win against Everton on Sunday to reduce the gap with Leicester and Chelsea.

The Red Devils have displayed a superb performance in their last two Premier League matches; 2-0 win against Chelsea and 3-0 victory over Everton.

A fine form of Fernandes and Ighalo is expected to steer United to victory at Goodison Park with the two expected to feature in the game.
