Police Officers on the Spot for Mishandling Sergeant Kenei’s Body

Just a day after an autopsy was conducted on the body of the Late Sergeant Kipyegon Kenei, questions still linger within family members and detectives.

Doctors and detectives visited his home in Imara Daima after failing to establish whether the deceased committed suicide or was murdered.

At his house in Villa Franca Estate, detectives found out that the first police officers to visit the scene to remove his body did not handle it professionally.

Additional reports indicated that the crime scene had been interfered with.

From the Wednesday afternoon postmortem results, it was established that the firearm that shot Kenei was in direct contact with the chin at the moment of discharge implying that it could be execution or suicide.

Government pathologist Johansen Oduor also said that the body of the fallen soldier did not depict any sign of struggle before his death.

Therefore, the new task is to come up with a conclusion on whether his death was self-inflicted or perpetuated by another person.

The officer’s father has disputed claims that his son committed suicide saying that he never appeared disturbed.
