Kepa Arrizabalaga is out of form and was replaced by Willy Cabellero in goal last weekend. The Argentine should yet again start. At right-back, Recce James has been a revelation this season but the experience of club captain Cesar Azpicueta should see the Spaniard get the nod.

Marcus Alonso was back in the team and scored against Spurs on Saturday which makes him the starter at left-back. Meanwhile, Antonio Rudiger and Kurt Zouma start as the center-back pairing in what will be a back four.

Midfield

Frank Lampard likes to dominated possession and it is likely that he will call on Jorginho to help his team do exactly that. The Italian midfielder is a pass master and rarely misplaces the ball.

Jorginho needs two more midfielders alongside him, one an accomplished passer from deep and can roam forward while the other is the runner who makes sprints into the box.

Matteo Kovacic is the deep passer in this system while England midfielder comes in as the runner who supports the attack.

Attack

Tammy Abraham is not fully fit which means that Olivier Giroud who opened the scoring in the 2-1 win over Spurs starts in the striking role. Meanwhile, Mason Mount starts on the left wing to add a goal threat while also interchanging positions with Ross Barkley while Willian starts on the right-wing.

Starting XI 4-3-3: Caballero, Azpilicuetta, Alonso, Rudiger, Zouma, Jorginho, Kovacic, Barkley, Mount, Willian, Giroud.
