Defense

Sergio Romero starts in goal as he has done in all cup games this season. Meanwhile, Aaron Wan Bissaka again covers the right-back position which he has made his won since his big-money move from Crystal Palace.

Meanwhile, Luke Shaw looked his old self against Chelsea and will again start at left-back. Eric Baily proved to be a rock on his comeback at Stamford Bridge and it would not be a surprise to see him start alongside Harry Maguire in central defense.

Nemanja Matic has not been playing a lot in the league this season but he still has lots to offer, especially against lesser sides in the cup competition. He starts in the defensive midfield position.

Alongside him, the overused Fred again start mainly due to a lack of cover in this position with Paul Pogba and Scott Mctominay injured.

Ahead of the two, January signing Bruno Fernandez will again start in the attacking midfield position. The Portuguese offers craft and a goal threat.

Daniel James is in some sort of goal drought and the only way to end that is by playing him more often and hope he discovers his form. He should start on the left-wing where he can cut inside and shoot with his right foot.

On the right, Mason Greenwood gets the nod. The young man has a deadly left foot and has already scored four league goals this season. Anthony Martial is the only fit center forward at the club which means will lead the hunt for goals.

Starting XI: Romero, Bissaka, Shaw, Baily, Maguire, Matic, Fred, Bruno, James, Greenwood, Martial.
