Suspected AL-Shabaab militants on Wednesday launched an attack on a passenger-filled bus at Laanfin area, in Mandera County.
According to media reports, passengers on the ill-fated bus were traveling from Mandera to Nairobi.

The bus belongs to Moyale Raha Bus Company.
Reports from the scene of the attack indicate that at least three people, all non-locals, died in the ambush, that was carried out between Sarman and Tarbe.

Other reports indicate that the bus was ferrying teachers from a workshop in Mandera.
On Jan. 24, two people were injured after the same terror group attacked a Wajir-bound bus, just two weeks after three people were killed in a terror attack on a bus in Lamu County.
On Dec. 7, 2019, 10 people died after they were fatally shot by Alshabaab gunmen, in yet another bus-attack, at Kotulo area, between Wajir and Mandera.
