Bet Loser Wins Big With Surprise Valentines Treat at Top Hotel

It will not be the same experience again for Charles Kahindi and his better half Sarah.

This is after a loss turned into a blessing in disguise as he was treated to a special Valentines celebration at a top city hotel.

Shinda Points, a reward scheme where punters receive points for placing bets courtesy of Kenya’s fastest growing betting firm Flooks, rolled out Changamkia Valz na Flooks, the first reward program under the Shinda Points umbrella.

The campaign kicked-off on January 13 with the luckiest losing punter winning dinner for two at the prestigious Kempinski Hotel.

Kahindi and his girlfriend, Sarah, were treated to a first-class experience at the Villa Rosa Kempinski, Nairobi.

Flooks organised for Kahindi and his girlfriend to be picked from his home in Pangani by a convoy of limousines escorted by outriders.

Kahindi, a University of Nairobi graduate is a businessman who sells clothes in his hometown in Western Kenya.

‘I was shocked and surprised when I got a call from Flooks informing me of the Valentines treat” said an excited Kahindi.

‘What a lovely surprise, even in my wildest dreams I’ve never thought of this, a Mercedes Benz and Kempinski! For Valentine’s day, wow!” posed Sarah, a nutritionist who graduated with a diploma from Kenya Medical Training College a few years back.

Wilfred Kombo, who had the highest Shinda Points was awarded KES 14,000 with each of the 13 other winners receiving KES 5,000 based on their Shinda Points.

“The inspiration for the campaign is that with Flooks, it is not just about winning bets, but also enjoying life to the fullest. We are giving everybody the chance to experience their best Valentine’s Day.

With Flooks you stand a chance of winning even though you may lose your bet,” explains Eddie Mwangi, the Campaign’s Coordinator.
