Italy and Brescia striker, Mario Balotelli has been accused of raping a 17-year old girl in 2018 while playing for nice in France.
The former Manchester City and Liverpool striker is said to have met the girl who convinced him that he was of age. After the two were involved in a romantic affair, the girl disclosed that she was 17 and started to blackmail the striker.
According to reports in Italy, Balotelli was subjected to blackmail from the girl who demanded over 100, million Euros failure to which she would report the matter to the police in addition to going to the press to expose the forward.
It is said that the striker, who is of Ghanaian descent refused to pay the money demanded by the girl an instead dared her to spill the beans if she so wished to. The matter is now under police investigation with the girl likey to face action for blackmail.
Balotelli is no new to controversy as his career from Inter Milan, Manchester City, AC Milan, Liverpool, Nice and Marseille has been trouble-laden with the player often in trouble due to his wanting discipline on and off the pitch.
He has often picked red card during matches for being hot-headed. In January during a league match against Cagliari, he was sent off seven minutes after coming on for two quick avoidable yellow cards.
