Real Madrid will welcome Real Sociedad to the Santiago Bernabéu on Thursday night in a Copa Del Rey clash quarter-final clash.
It is the second time the two teams will be facing off this season. Madrid registered a 3-1 win when they clashed at the capital in a league match last November.
Madrid defeated their arch-rivals Atletico Madrid over the weekend and head into the game in high spirits. Sociedad, on the other hand, went down to Leganes and will be keen on bouncing back against the league leaders.
Despite their not so impressive run in the league, Sociedad plays impressive attacking football and has scored 37 goals in Laliga this season. They will cause Madrid a few problems going forward and it’s something Zinedine Zidane will be concerned about.
Real Madrid has no new injury concern. Only Marco Asensio and Eden Hazard are out of the game. The two have been long-term absentees. For Sociedad, Asier Illarramendi, David Zurutuza, Mikel Merino are all out with injuries further weakening the struggling side.
Based on their current form, Madrid will get an easy win. The match will also be a high scoring one considering both teams have strong forward lines.
