Two people lost their lives in an attempt to demolish the church at night in Addis Abeba so called 22 SEFER. Sources have said that even when pressure was exerted on the church, documentary evidence that the church was on the legal path went so far. As a result, at least two lives were lost and a third person is said to be in serious danger when police started force, gun shooting and tear gas.
