Moses Kuria and ‘James Nyoro’ in Fresh Confrontation

The conflict between newly elected Kiambu Governor James Nyoro, and Gatundu South MP Moses Kuria, took an interesting turn, after a Twitter account, in the former’s name, launched a fresh attack on the Tangatanga MP on Sunday.

In a scathing post that caught Kuria’s attention, the ‘governor’ warned that anyone not in support of the Building Bridges Initiative in his county would be dealt with accordingly, using the legislator, who has twice been publicly embarrassed during BBI rallies, as an example.

On Saturday, Kuria was roughed up by the security crew, during Kitui’s edition of ODM leader Raila Odinga’s BBI consultative forums, after area governor Charity Ngilu expressed displeasure at his presence.

Ngilu was caught on camera calling for Kuria’s removal from the venue, citing his disrespect for President Uhuru Kenyatta.

In the Sunday Twitter post, the sensational governor Nyoro parody account warned that Kuria would be the next politician to face impeachment, if he did not change his attitude towards the head of state and issue an apology.

”Anyone who is not supporting BBI in Kiambu will be dealt with accordingly, I will be taking signatures to impeach Moses Kuria if he does not apologize to the president,” read the tweet that grabbed Kuria’s attention.

In response, Kuria wondered whether eliminating critics of the president was the role that powerful government officials had been charged with, over the recent weeks.

”My friend this is the new mission of the gang of PSs, Parastatal Heads and Deep State that put you in power?” the MP, through his official Twitter account, replied.

Governor Nyoro was caught on camera angrily inciting his Kitui counterpart to have Kuria thrown out Raila’s rally, on Saturday.
