With just a few hours remaining until the transfer window closes, the activity among teams is now speeding up.
Chelsea winger Pedro Rodriquez has found playtime hard to come by and is on the lookout for a new team this window. The World Cup winner was on the radar of Italian side AS Roma but the move did not materialize after Roma signed Barcelona midfielder Carlos Perez.
Pedro could still find himself out of Stamford Bridge before the window closes but the chances are very slim at the moment.
Meanwhile, The Blues could lose yet another World Cup-winning star as Olivier Giroud is on the verge of sealing a move to fellow Premier League side Tottenham Hotspur. Like Pedro, Giroud has not been a regular starter under Frank Lampard.
He would be a great addition to a Spurs side without their star striker Harry Kane who is out until April.
Arsenal close to signing Southampton right-back Cedric Soares on loan until the end of the season. The move is expected to be completed before deadline day on Friday. He will offer competition to Hector Bellerin while allowing Ainsley Maitland Niles to play in his preferred position in midfield.
Edison Cavani is expected to say at Paris Saint Germain after talks with Atletico Madrid over his transfer broke down. Cavani is however out of contract in the summer and could join the Spanish side on a free transfer in June.
