Waititu Desperately Begs Senators to Rescue Him (Video)

Kiambu Governor Ferdinand Waititu finally came face to face with the lot holding his fate in their hands.

The much-awaited meeting of the senate and Waititu kicked off and the embattled leader had his moment.

The county boss before presenting his side of the story, was subjected to an embarrassing moment by the Kiambu County Assembly  Counsel.

The counsel noted that the Kiambu governor did not discriminate his wives during the time he looted public funds.

“….the only thing that one may commend Gov. Waititu for is that he does not discriminate; when it came to looting public resources and giving them to the wives, he gave each wife resources,” remarked the Counsel.

On his part, the troubled laden Jubilee party member, articulated that fake news against him was being used to tarnish his profile amid the political storm circling over his head.

“There has been a lot of propaganda through social media, bloggers being paid by politicians to malign my name and it has gone to a level that they always get away with the propaganda and achieve their goals,” stated Waititu.

He further proclaimed that he was never involved in the mentioned cases of graft and dared the counsel to provide concrete evidence into the matter.

“I want my accusers here to produce a single document that implicates me, the persons that dealt with that matter (land issue) are adults I never called the lady as indicated here…I never at all requested the registrar to transfer the plots,” the Kiambu governor expressed.

The politician added, “When I was given the notice of the motion the assembly took 17 days to deliberate on a special motion, they went against the county assembly standing orders which require that a special motion be disposed of within 14 days.”

Waititu in a last-ditch effort, gave a compelling statement urging the Senate to have mercy on him as one day some of the members will seek the same measure.

“…even in this house (Senate) I know a big number of you will also become governors, you will also come here and require justice be done to you… I just beseech you to do justice to me as a Senate…” pronounce the Kiambu County boss.

The special seating is set to stretch till Wednesday, where the final decision on Waititu’s predicament will be made.

In the event, the Senate upholds the impeachment plan, Waititu will be the first governor in Kenya’s history to be sent packing.
