Video Of The Week: Arsenal’s Classic Goal Against AFC Bournemouth

A few weeks ago, Pierre Emerick Aubameyang was sent off for Arsenal for a nasty looking challenge against Crystal Palace. He would miss the next three games for the Gunners.

Most Arsenal fans were worried and rightly so. See Aubameyang was the prime source for Arsenal’s goal heading into the match. In fact, he had scored nine of the 11 goals that the team had scored away from home.

With Arsenal set to play two of the three matches that he would miss away from the Emirates Stadium, things were looking grim for the team. Fast forward three weeks later and Arsenal has scored four goals in the last two away matches.

They got two with ten men against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge and two more away to AFC Bournemouth in the FA Cup. The first was a thing of beauty.

It was a move that started on the edge of the Bournemouth goal and finished brilliantly with the left foot by Bukayo Saka. Interestingly the move was started by Nketiah and involved every Arsenal outfield player.

Total passes amounted to 22, it was simply a wonderfully worked goal and prove that the Mikel Arteta manifesto at the club is taking shape. Below is the video of the goal.
