Drama ensued in Nakuru County after two vocal leaders successfully plotted and executed humiliating revenge on President Kenyatta.

President Kenyatta was in the County to commission construction of a Cement construction company set to provide employment to some 1000 locals.

In the event, the two leaders allied to DP Ruto’s Tanga Tanga faction opted to stay out in what is seen as a revenge for being locked out of a past Presidential function.

In January, 14, some three leaders including Senator Kihika, MP Ngunjiri and Nakuru Town East MP David Gikaria were locked out.

President Kenyatta had flown to Nakuru county to facilitate a title deed distribution exercise.

He would later appear to be impressed by the decision by his security detail to lock out the leaders who he said should “organize their own function.”

President Kenyatta has been on a collision path with a section of his Jubilee Party leaders after his unexpected March 9, 2018 handshake with Opposition leader Raila Odinga.

The handshake that is seen by Kenyatta as the antidote to political animosity, is widely viewed by DP Ruto allies as a plan to hijack his Presidential ambition.
