Mildred Atieno Owiso alias Atty has been in the tongues and screens of Kenyans for a better part of the weekend.
Atty was on spot for a ‘heroic’ move she pulled when she ordered a police officer out of her car and alleged that the officer was seeking a bribe from her.
On Saturday morning, police officers raided her home to arrest Atty and her husband for sharing the video that went viral on social media.
The two were forcefully taken into police custody with an offence of resisting arrest ad inciting the public to violence.
However, through exposing the rogue police officer, Mildred might have also dug her own grave.
After the forceful arrest, some bloggers cautioned netizens against defending Atty claiming that she is not the activist she purported to be.
Blogger Robert Alai, accused the self-proclaimed activist of building a profile so as to seek asylum in a foreign country.
Those who know that Atty very well. They will never mourn because they know that she is trying to build a profile so as to get an asylum in a foreign country. pic.twitter.com/YpYnfETNVd

Just a day after her dramatic arrest, more reports have emerged implying that Atty is a con woman.
She is said to be conning unsuspicious Kenyans who visit her Facebook page dubbed Buyers beware to get help in recovering debts, stole property or raise complains about products they have bought.
The activist is alleged to have bullied citizens who have sought her help by naming and shaming them on the internet when they fail to comply to her demands.
According to the leaked documentary, through Atty’s cyberbullying some victims have fallen into depression and a few extreme cases have led to suicide.
Here is a series of documentaries about the alleged rogue behaviour of Mildred;
