[VIDEO] Chaotic Moment as Tanga Tanga Leaders Try to Access Podium at Mombasa BBI Rally

A moment of push and pull was witnessed on Saturday morning as Tanga Tanga leaders try to access the podium at Mama Ngina Waterfront park.

Led by Gatundu South MP Moses Kuria, Malindi’s Aisha Jumwa, Mohammed Ali (Nyali), and Elgeyo Marakwet Senator Murkomen Kipchumba, the politicians were booed by the crowd as they made their way into the BBI rally.

For a moment, fracas was witnessed as the leaders received a harsh welcome from the rowdy youths.

The politicians had initially been blocked from entering the venue with their bodyguards with the security from the Kieleweke team members taking over.

It took the intervention of Mombasa Governor Joho to allow the crowd to give way for the politicians to enter the venue.

Immediately after gaining entry, Murkomen lauded the police for heightening the security.

“So far we arrived safely and the security is uptight. We laud the police and we look forward to a successful meeting. I appreciate I was given a seat and who I seat next too does not matter,” Murkomen stated.

Politicians started streaming into the grounds as early as 10 am.

Orange Democratic Movement leader Raila Odinga is leading other politicians in the rally.
