Good morning,
Deputy President William Ruto has questioned the politicians claiming that he is disrespecting his boss, President Uhuru Kenyatta. According to the DP, none of these politicians has ever voted for Uhuru.
In a wide-ranging interview with NTV’s Ken Mijungu, Ruto said that apart from Uhuru’s family, no one else has been loyal to the President like the DP.
Ruto claimed that he was sent by President Daniel Arap Moi to convince KANU nominated MP to resign and pave way for Uhuru to join parliament in 2001. Uhuru, who had unsuccessfully vied for Gatundu South MP in 1997, was nominated to parliament and appointed local government minister.
In 2002, Ruto was the only politician at Uhuru’s side when he conceded defeat to Mwai Kibaki at the Serena Hotel. All the other KANU members had disappeared.
Ruto sacrificed his own ambition to be president and supported Uhuru in 2013. No one else wanted to back the head of state.
With all these revelations, do you think it will be good for Uhuru to betray his deputy in 2022?

Ruto instead said as far as he knows, he is only married to one wife – Rachel – and not anyone else.

El Adde Attack: KDF Ordered the Camp to be Blown Up
Kenya marked the fourth anniversary of al shabaab attack on the El Adde KDF base in Somalia’s Gedo region last week.
The death toll was not made public but it was in excess of 147 students killed in the militants’ attack on Garissa University on April 3, 2015.
Fresh details have, however, emerged indicating that the KDF command at the base likely ordered the camp to be blown up to avoid the soldiers being taken prisoners.
Embattled Maasai Mara VC Mary Walingo has allegedly resumed duties at the institution, more than four months since a hard-hitting expose in which she was accused of ‘eating’ public funds like a cow. Do you think the government is serious about fighting corruption?
