DCI Kinoti Breathes Fire Over Ruto’s Corruption Case, KDF: American Soldiers Were Very Slow in Manda Attack & How Sakaja Saved Nairobi in Sonko’s Absence

Good morning,

KDF soldiers allegedly hid in the grass leaving Americans exposed as Al Shabaab terrorists overran the Camp Simba Military Base early this month, an American Newspaper has claimed.

The New York Times claims that three Americans would not have died in the January 5 attack, if the US had enough soldiers to man the perimeter wall. The American soldiers were dependent on their Kenyan counterparts to man the perimeter wall, which left them exposed because “Kenyan forces are typically not as capable as U.S. forces.”

According to the paper, Kenyan soldiers could have been compromised by the attackers. It said the attack had striking similarities with another one that the Americans suffered in Afganistan in March 2019, where Taliban fighters managed to infiltrate a military base with the help of Afghani forces and threatened the small group of American troops present in the camp.

Why would the US make such big accusations? Is there some truth in this or just another public relations gimmick after losing three citizens and six aircraft?

Kenyan authorities should also take the blame for the way they handle terror attacks. KDF has never revealed the number of Kenyans who died in the attack despite international media reporting that a civilian was killed. What is the fate of the six terrorists who were allegedly arrested after the attack? Why have they never been presented in court? Should we assume that they were just bystanders who were later released?

Here are the stories making headlines this morning:
