They Are Both Clowns! Arsenal Fans Slam Defensive Duo After Error Against Chelsea

Disgruntled Arsenal fans have taken to social media to lay into Shkodran Mustafi and David Luiz and after pair was involved in yet another costly error against Chelsea on Tuesday night at Stamford Bridge.

A terrible backpass from Mustafi in the 26th minute put Chelsea striker Tammy Abraham through on goal before David Luiz’s attempts to deny the England striker saw him concede a penalty and a sending off to live the Gunners fighting a man down.

The penalty was duly dispatched by Jorgino before Arsenal managed to stage a comeback to win 2-2 courtesy of goals fro. Gabriel Martinelli and Hector Bellerin. Cesar Azpilucueta scored the Blues’ second goal.

Despite fighting a man down for close to 70 minutes, Arsenal fans chose to focus on the error from the pair. Mustafi, in particular, has been erratic over the years and former coach Unai Emery wanted him out but he failed to find suitors.

He was frozen out of the team at the start of the season featuring only in the UEFA Europa League and the Carabao Cup. A couple of injuries and Unai Emery’s sacking handed the World Cup winner a lifeline at the club.

Luiz, on the other hand, has been blowing hot and cold this season since his summer move to the Emirates. He equally, despite rates highly has a history of high-profile blunders.

Fans didn’t hide their feelings during the and after the game labeling the two as clowns. They further called for the pair’s ouster from the club by boss Mikel Arteta.
