The stage is set for the newly proposed Nairobi County Deputy Governor to take reigns after embattled Governor Mike Sonko marked two years without a Deputy.
County Assembly Speaker Beatrice Elachi Wednesday tabled the name of the proposed Deputy Governor Ann Mwenda Kananu before the house for processing.
Before her appointment, Ms Kananu was the Chief Officer in the County Department of Disaster Management & Coordination.
Governor Sonko made the nomination in order to avert a looming crisis at City Hall after he was barred from accessing his office over corruption charges.
