Uhuru’s Dark Secret That Waiguru Revealed at Bukhungu BBI Rally

The decision to form a Building Bridges Initiative (BBI) National Steering Committee was not reached upon through proper consultative means, Gatundu South MP Moses Kuria on Monday revealed.

According to the fiery Tangatanga MP, the revelation on the existence of the BBI administrative unit was a slip-of-the-tongue mistake by Kirinyaga Governor Anne Waiguru, who let the cat out of the bag at ODM leader Raila Odinga’s BBI consultative forum, held at Bukhungu Grounds in Kakamega, on Saturday.

The county head revealed that the BBI Steering Committee is comprised of all 47 governors from around the country.

Kuria, in a Monday press conference, noted that none of the parties opposed to the planned countrywide BBI meetings, was aware that President Uhuru Kenyatta and Raila had gone as far as establishing the secretariat, which, according to Waiguru, is divided into national and regional levels.

”I think it was a slip of the tongue, She was not meant to say. It was supposed to be some nuclear secret,” he noted in the presser, in which he also warned journalists of associating him with the death of former Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) ICT manager Chris Msando.

”Now we know that a secretariat has been formed behind our backs, ” the legislator lamented.

On the next step for team Tangatanga pertaining to the BBI, Kuria pointed out that Deputy President William Ruto allies had no objections to the undertaking, but were concerned over the level of secrecy and exclusion exercised by the Uhuru-Raila team.

He further reiterated Ruto’s sentiments, that the ongoing BBI consultative meetings are a waste of time, since no one is objected to the recommendations contained in the BBI report.
