Duale to Join Forces With Security Agencies in Combating Al shabaab

Garissa Township Member of Parliament Aden Duale has spoken on the recent insecurity that has been witnessed in the Northern parts of the country following attacks from Al Shabaab militants.

The National Assembly majority leader says communities from the North Eastern region of Kenya which is prone to these attacks will join forces with the security agencies in combating Al shabaab in all its forms including its cells in the region.

Al Shabaab attacks in the region have recently seen several lives of civilians and security forces lost, schools and health facilities closed and communication infrastructure disrupted.

A recent attack saw three teachers killed and a Safaricom communication mast destroyed.

Due to such incidents, Duale alongside other region’s leaders among then Garissa senator Yusuf Haji held a community security meeting.

Duale said that they shall share and implement the recommendations of the meeting with the National Government security apparatus in due course.

“Recently, several lives of civilians and security forces were lost, schools and health facilities closed, communication infrastructure disrupted.

“As a community we have decided that we shall join forces with the security agencies in combatting Al shabaab in all it’s forms including its cells in the region.

“We shall share and implement the recommendations of this high level community security meeting with the National Government security apparatus in due course,” Duale posted on twitter.
