Deputy President Dr William Ruto has torn into Building Bridges Initiative (BBI) organizers for making him the key subject of BBI meetings.
Speaking at St. Christopher Catholic Parish – Kyumbi, Maanzoni in Machakos County where he attended his Sunday service, Ruto said that the Saturday BBI meeting at Bukhungu Stadium in Kakamega turned him into subject.
He cited that the speakers at the meeting talked more on him and his Sugoi home than they did on the BBI issue.
The second in command told the BBI organizers to stop making him the subject and focus on BBI’s agenda.
After BBI, the DP notes that the 2022 campaigns which BBI supporters seem to be doing for him can now start.
He told them to cease the insults they are directing to him.
“Please…I saw yesterday in Kakamega the insults from half of the meeting, there was less mention of BBI than mention of Ruto and his home in Sugoi. I want to tell those friend of mine, there is no need to hurry,” Ruto said.

ODM leader Raila Odinga led a brigade of leaders at Bukhungu Stadium in Kakamega Town for the BBI consultative meeting.
COTU boss Francis Atwoli who was part of the meeting’s organizers disclosed how he convinced ANC party leader Musalia Mudavadi to attend the Bukhungu Stadium BBI meeting while blasting DP Ruto for allegedly being corrupt and that he would never be president in 2022.
“I spoke to Mudavadi and I am glad he listened to me. Mudavadi and Wetangula are clean leaders, they have never stolen a dime. Ruto’s team almost corrupted Mudavadi when they called him to Sugoi and dinned with him. Get out of Ruto’s corner, Mudavadi please get out of it” Atwoli urged.
Cherengany MP Joshua Kutuny and Tiati MP William Kamket also tore into Ruto, labeling him as the most corrupt.
