Khalwale Takes Swipe on Mudavadi, Wetangula After Dodging Him in Mumias Meeting

Former Kakamega Senator Boni Khalwale has attacked Amani National Congress(ANC) party leader Musalia Mudavadi and Ford Kenya party leader Moses Wetangula after they bailed on him in a Mumias planned meeting.

Khalwale and former Sports Cabinet Secretary Rashid Echesa attempted to hold a gathering parallel to a grand BBI meeting held in Bukhungu, Kakamega.

Taking to social media, he rebuked the leaders for not risking to attend the Mumias meeting. Instead, he heaped praise on area woman MCA for at least trying.

Former Kakamega Senator Boni Khalwale

“I have no words to thank the great people of Western for braving police brutality today to welcome me in Mumias.
I love you!” A post on his Facebook read in part.

Khalwale was optimistic the two would show as they had earlier communicated that they would skip the Bukhungu, meeting that was to be attended by ODM leader Raila Odinga since they were not consulted.

In anticipation Khalwale, visited the Nabongo Grounds in Mumias town and affirmed the meeting dubbed Western Economic Forum, would go on unopposed, stating that he had mobilised local leaders from Trans Nzoia, Bungoma and Kakamega Counties and Vihiga Counties.

He said Mudavadi and Wetang’ula would attend the Mumias meeting.

However, Mudavadi and Musalia would later attend the grand BBI meting shortly after ODM party leader arrived some minutes later after 12 noon.

Central Organisation of Trade Unions Secretary-General Francis Atwoli also called out on the two leaders on allegations of deceiving each other.

He dared the two to disband their political parties and form one political party that would speak to the interests of the people of western Kenya.
