Joshua Kutuny Tears Ruto Apart in Kakamega BBI Meeting

Cherengani MP Joshua Kutuny on Saturday threw jabs at Deputy President William Ruto for throwing shade at the ongoing Building Bridges Initiative sensitization drive.

The second BBI sensitization drive led by ODM party leader Raila Odinga and President Uhuru Kenyatta took place in Bukhungu, Kakamega where Kutuny insisted that if Ruto had concerns on BBI budget he should consult with Uhuru Kenyatta.

The Cherengani legislator also questioned why the DP was the only one who condemned all the other politicians who supported the BBI.

He also reminded the DP that he was among the people who were opposed to having the new constitution passed but has since jumped ship.

Kutuny hence advised Ruto to support the BBI for it is through the initiative that he might get to correct or change things enshrined therein that he is not happy with.

Kutuny was an ardent supporter of DP Ruto before falling out under unclear circumstances. He belonged to the Orange Democratic Movement before he defected to URP, and finally to the Jubilee.

During the Kibra by-elections, he also gave a huge blow to Jubilee’s candidate Mariga who was backed by DP Ruto after he declared support for ODM’s candidate Imran Okoth who went on to win.

Recently, he has been involved with President Uhuru Kenyatta and even admitted on live TV that he does not care about being called a sycophant of Uhuru.

To help Uhuru achieve his Big 4  agenda Kutuny has been exposing loopholes and corruption cases ongoing in the country.

On January 6, Kutuny alleged there is a plot by some powerful individuals to import maize from March under the pretext that there is a shortage of the grain.

Kutuny claimed that the National Cereals and Produce Board (NCPB) is holding on to about Sh9 billion in proceeds from the sale of maize in 2018.
