Samuel Onyango Bags A Hattrick As Gor Mahia Thrash Chemelil

Kenya Premier League Champions Gor Mahia thrashed relegation bound Chemelil Sugar 4-0 to go just two points behind the leaders Tusker at the top of the table.

Samuel Onyango opened the floodgates in the 20th minute with a well-cushioned finish into the bottom right corner. Onyango was at it again just after the restart to double his lead and Gor Mahia.

Chemelil were simply not at the required level and were lucky not to concede more before Bonifaceomondi added a third to end the match as a contest. Onyango got his hattrick in the 72nd minute to end the scoring.

The defending champions are now on 3 points, two behind leaders Tusker with two matches in hand. Meanwhile, Chemelil Sugar remains rooted at the bottom of the table with just one win so far. The side has been rocked by financial constraints and has already dished out two walkovers meaning that they are one walkover away from automatic relegation.

The Kenya Premier League will not be in action this weekend to pave way for the Shield Tournament which kicks off this Saturday.
