As the door was shut for the bigwigs, Uhuru opened another one for new blood to join the group of elites within his government.

One Betty Maina was among the leaders who scored big with the latest revamp.

Luck seemed to be on Maina’s side as she was moved from a Permanent Secretary to a Cabinet Secretary.

In September 2019, Maina was appointed the Environment and Forest PS in a mini-reshuffle from the Ministry of Industry, Trade And Cooperatives.

During her appointment, she remarked that she was ecstatic with the move and was ready to deliver what was required.
