Marwa’s Failed Comeback after Miguna’s Lawyers Badly humiliated Him in Court

Embattled political activist Miguna Miguna’s advocates Monday publicly humiliated State Counsel Christopher Marwa, during a court session on the travel status of the controversial lawyer, who is still unable to enter the country.

Senior Counsel John Khaminwa was upset after Attorney General Kihara Kariuki declined to appear before the court on the same matter, instead sending his junior, Marwa, as a representative in the heated battle between the state and the deported former Nairobi County gubernatorial aspirant.

Khaminwa shockingly demeaned the State Counsel in a fit of rage, pointing out that the country has a very big problem of government officials disregarding orders from the Judiciary.

Khaminwa described the baffled Marwa as an illeterate and incompetent boy, especially in matters of the constitution.

In a failed clapback attempt, the scorned Marwa suggested that Khaminwa is unfamiliar with some provisions of the constitution, such as that allowing the Attorney General to send a representative to court when unable to make an appearance.

”Your Lordship, if I may, Article 156 of the Constitution sub-article 7 reads, and my learned senior may not have the benefit of going through this provision…” he said, referring to Khaminwa.

Miguna’s legal team was, however, not having any of Marwa’s suggestions of ignorance, with Khaminwa’s counterpart, Harun Ndumbi, quickly shutting him down.

”We do not take kindly to that insult, we have practised Constitutional law longer than this young boy,” Ndumbi retorted.

The stalemate on Miguna continues, with the government maintaining that he must obtain a Kenyan passport before being allowed back into the country.

Miguna’s advocates, on the other hand, have upheld their demands for either the AG or the Solicitor General to make a personal apperance in court, to explain the continued disobedience of court orders directing the unconditional return of Miguna.
