Gatundu South Residents Protest Over Moses Kuria Arrest[PHOTOS]

Gatundu South residents on Saturday were up in arms to defend their Member of Parliament who was arrested on Friday for allegedly assaulting a woman at Royal Media premises

The residents holding placards insisted that Moses Kuria was not guilty and that the police needed to respect the Gatundu South electorate.

The court ordered for the release of Moses Kuria on a cash bail of Ksh 50,000 but he is yet to be released from Kilimani Police station.

His arrest came after calls for his arrest intensified following the incident that took place on December 8 2019.

Kuria before the court ordered his release had said that he was ready to spend the weekend behind bars and that he was not afraid of intimidation.

Police, however, moved in quickly to calm the situation and disperse the rowdy supporters.
