Aubameyang Sent Off As Arsenal Is Held By Crystal Palace

Arsenal could not make it two Premier League wins in a row after the Gunners drew 1-1 with Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park.

Arsenal dominated the opening exchanges and deservedly went ahead in the 12th minute. David Luiz fed Mesut Ozil the ball who played a one-touch pass to Alexandre Lacazette. The Frenchman then played in Pierre Emerick Aubameyang who took a touch before slotting the ball home for the opener.

The home side awoke from their slumber and went int the half time break the dominant side.

Palace was rewarded for their brave approach just ten minutes after the restart. Jordan Ayew took a shot from inside the box and the ball deflected off David Luiz for the equalizer.

Things went from bad to worse when Arsenals captain Pierre Emerick Aubamenayng was sent off fr a dangerous tackle minutes after Palace equalized. The referee had initially booked him but later sent him off after advice from the Video Assistant Referee.

He will now miss the games against, Chelsea, Bournemouth and Sheffield United.

Arsenal could have added a second late on but Nicholas Pepe hit the post after being set up by Lacazette. On the other end, Sokratis cleared a goalbound header off the line to keep things level.

The match ended in a 1-1 draw that leaves Arsenal 10th on the table with 28 points while Palace is ahead in ninth place a point better than the Gunners.
