Neymar Backs Real Madrid Pair to Thrive

Brazil and PSG forward Neymar has backed Real Madrid pair of Rodrygo Goes and Vinicius Junior to become much better players in the future.

The two joined the record European champions from Brazilian clubs. Junior was roped in from Flamengo while Rodygo joined Madrid from Santos.

The two haven’t featured much for Madrid this season owing to competition for places in the team but have been impressive in the games that they have been involved in. Goes scored a hat-trick against Galatasaray in the UEFA Champions League.

Asked of what he thinks about the duo, Neymar a former Barcelona man said the two are of good quality and backed them to improve even further with time.

“They’re two players with a lot of quality. They’ve only been around for a short time, but they’re going to earn a lot of experience and mature a little more and be much better than they are right now,” he said.

The PSG number 10 further requested patience stating that they need more time to adapt to the Spanish league.

“In Brazil, people are in a bit of a rush as they want these players to be deciding matches now. They want them to play in all the competitions. But adaptation is difficult. It’s difficult to arrive at that level and play at that level at clubs like Real Madrid or Barcelona, but both these players are managing to do this,” he added.
