Serie A leaders Inter Milan are reportedly in talks with Manchester United over the transfer of utility man Ashley Young to the Italian capital this January.
34-year old Young is out-of-favor at Old Trafford following the arrival of Wan-Bissaka from Crystal Palace in the summer and the emergence of young left-back Brandon Williams who is pushing to become the club’s first-choice left-sided fullback.
Inter Coach Antonio Conte is said to a huge admirer of the Englishman and wants to take him to Milan as he looks to end Juventus’ dominance in the Italian league this season. Young will be out of contract in the summer and was expected to leave the club at the end of the season.
Reports in Italy however indicate that his departure may come sooner than expected as Conte wants the former Aston Villa man to join his Inter revolution this January. Inter lead the Serie A log and Conte is keen on winning the title this season.
Inter signed two players from Manchester United last summer. Romelus Lukaku who has been in sensational form in Italy was among his first signings when he took over. Alexis Sanchez who struggled at United since his transfer from Arsenal was also shipped out to Inter Albeit on loan.
