Arsenal Star Commits to The Club

Arsenal captain Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has reaffirmed his commitment to the club insisting that he wants to take it back to the glory days.

The Gabonese striker had been linked with a move away from Arsenal with Real Madrid, Juventus Inter Milan, and Manchester United among clubs interested in his services this January transfer window.

Arsenal’s new boss Mikel Arteta had earlier revealed that the forward is committed to the club and will not be exiting this January. This came after reports indicated that the striker had turned down a new contract offer and wants to leave.

The player has now committed to the club. The former Borussia Dortmund man says he is committed to Arsenal and wants to take the club back to glory days.

“I am the Arsenal captain. I love this club. I am committed to it and desperate to bring it back to the top, where it belongs,” he said after Arsenal’s 1-0 win over Leeds United in the FA Cup on Monday night.

Aubameyang was named Arsenal captain by former Gunners coach Unai Emery after Granit Xhaka was stripped of the captaincy in November after a spat with the club supporters that saw him swear at them after they booed him.
