Kenyans Gang Up Against Itumbi Over Damning Revelation on Matiang’i

Dennis Itumbi seemed to have started the new year on the wrong foot after he decided to go pick another war with Interior CS Fred Matiang’i.

Itumbi’s message hit a block after netizens blasted him.

Through a tweet, the Director Digital, Innovations and Diaspora Communication noted that the EACC and the DCI would be singing the same old song of claiming to fight corruption.

According to the digital strategist, the two bodies would continue fooling Kenyans on the matter of the Ruaraka land case.

Itumbi claimed that the situation where Matiang’i is alleged to have had a hand in, was untouchable.

“3rd day of January 2020 @DCI_Kenya and @EACCKenya will continue telling us they are fighting corruption without Fear of Favour. But the file with the title – Ruaraka Land – will remain in the corner called ‘ Too hot to touch it has CS @InteriorKE @FredMatiangi– Mtado?” read the tweet.

When questioned whether he had proof that the Interior CS was involved in the scandal, he astonishingly claimed he had evidence.

Following the revelation, a section of netizens blasted him stating that he should take the matter to the necessary authorities instead of making noise.

Here are some of the reactions:

Mutua K stated that”What are you telling us!…? Check again!”

Another netizen identified as Tyller Gachengo remarked that”Si uipeleke DCI na uwache mushene ama uite press confrence kama Alice. But am sure you lack the balls to do so.

Baba Anfield articulated”Do you know where to take the evidence and what to do with it?”

Doctor George expressed that”Utafunga mdomo nanii(You will shut up).”

Last Friday, the blogger who is Deputy President William Ruto’s supporter, was at it again calling out the two institutions to desist from having double standards on the case.

He further sarcastically highlighted that he would ensure that the information is posted on a WhatsApp group.

Sudi, Murkomen ridicule Uhuru over graft war

In July 2019, other Ruto allies joined the bandwagon and called for the persecution of Matiang’i after being accused of selling the public land to the government for Ksh 1 billion.

Kapseret MP Oscar Sudi, Elgeyo Marakwet Senator Kipchumba Murkomen and Laikipia Woman Representative Cate Waruguru had proclaimed that the blind eye cast on the issue was a selective fight on graft.

Sudi added that President Uhuru Kenyatta was arrogant on not addressing the case against his ‘powerful’ CS.

Murkomen reiterated that fairness should be used when dealing with corruption cases.
