Uhuru or Ruto? Pick One, Tony Gachoka Urges City Lawyer

Kenya Television Network show host Tony Gachoka on Wednesday tried to persuade senior counsel Ahmednasir Abdullahi to pick a side and or rather a person in the wake of a new year instead of playing safe by double talking.

The controversial and celebrated journalist in equal measures went further ahead and intimated that Ahmed cannot have the two and that he needed to make a choice.

“2020 is the year of choices not double talk you either with Uhuru or Ruto you can’t have both,” a tweet from Gachoka read in part.

He also went ahead and told the lawyer that even the former vice-chair of The National Alliance (TNA) party  David Murathe went ahead and picked a side.

“Murathe has chosen; where is the Grand Mullah .. is he the proverbial WATER MELON ..Or a FLY on the wall ..(Sic) ” He said.

Gachoka’s intention to try and persuade the senior counsel comes at a time when the country’s politics are divided into two; Kieleweke and Tangatanga factions which are allied to President Uhuru Kenyatta and Deputy President William Ruto respectively.

Ahmednasir is yet to declare his stand on either which could ostensibly explain Gachoka’s intentions to try and persuade the senior counsel.

Four days ago, Ahmednasir mocked ODM party leader Raila Odinga after he asked Deputy President William Ruto to step down over alleged links to corruption.

In an exclusive interview on Citizen TV which was aired on Friday night, Raila questioned Ruto’s source of wealth and said he should resign so as to be investigated.

“Which individual can have such money? You are bringing crowds and crowds of people each and every day slaughtering chicken and paying for their transport and giving them petty cash, what is the source of such cash?” he posed.

Reacting to the sentiments, Ahmednasir ridiculed the ODM boss saying he does not have the mandate to call for any investigations on the DP since Kenyans have repeatedly failed to elect him in all his attempts to take power as the president.
