Man United Boss Aware of Burnley Strikers’ Threat

Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is aware of the threat posed by Burnley forwards Ashley Barnes and Chris Wood ahead of Saturday action at the Turf Moor.

United visit Burnley on Saturday hoping to build on their boxing day win over Newcastle United at Old Trafford.

On paper, United are favorites heading into the game but their struggles on the road this season makes it an unpredictable clash.

Another challenge they face is Burnley’s attacking duo of Wood and Barnes who have caused teams trouble this season and Solskjaer is aware of the task ahead.

“Definitely, yeah. It’s going to be what it says on the tin, and we know what we’re up against. We’ve prepared for that; we’ve already started watching the videos and of course we’ve had loads of games lately,” he said.

” But now the boys will be facing different opposition. The frontmen, Barnes and Wood, [are] top center-forwards as a pairing. [There will be] loads of crosses so we’ve got to defend the box but also make sure that we win the second ball [so we can] attack ourselves.”
